The Nokia 105 mobile phone is one of the most affordable models from HMD Global under the Nokia brand on the market. This model has only the most basic communication functions such as the ability to make a call or send or receive SMS messages, as well as a rather modest set of additional functionality.
Inside the box
The device comes in a small flat cardboard box. The box contains basic information about the model, as well as brief characteristics. The box is universal for all colors of this mobile phone at once, and this model has three colors in total: black (as in this case), dark blue, and pink.
Inside the box, you can see the device itself, charger, removable battery, quick start guide, and warranty card. The battery has a declared capacity of 800mAh (the battery model is BL-5CB, and its main characteristics are: type – Li-ion, 3.7V, 3.0Wh).
Appearance and brief characteristics
The Nokia 105 mobile phone is a monoblock form factor model. The dimensions of the device are 119×49.2×14.4mm, weight – is 74g. The case of the device is made of matte plastic. On the top edge, there is a micro USB connector, a built-in flashlight LED, and a 3.5mm headset jack. The side faces of the case are devoid of any buttons or connectors. On the bottom edge, there is only a special slot, to be able to tuck and remove the back cover. The back panel is removable and lacks anything other than the Nokia logo.
At the top of the front panel of the phone is a speaker, and at the bottom – is a microphone. The phone is equipped with a 1.77″ color display. The resolution of the display is 128×160 pixels. The display is made using TN technology.
There are no complaints only about the transfer of colors at a strictly correct viewing angle and, probably, resolution. In principle, for such a modest functionality, more is not needed.
The keyboard has a pretty classic button layout. There is a uniform white LED backlighting of the keys. The course of most buttons is clear.
Interface and software
The mobile phone is running the Series 30+ operating system. The device has 4 MB of built-in memory. In principle, the phone works fine, and the opening speed of everything does not cause much irritation. The phone thinks for a long time when deleting messages or other similar actions with a record of something or other access to the built-in memory of the phone.
The shell device format is similar to old NOKIA phones. There is a lock screen with a clock, and the main home screen with time and date, battery level, network signal strength, and carrier name. Then there is the main menu with all the programs, as well as the asset menu for quick access to the most frequently used functions. The four positions of the navigation joystick button have predefined actions, it seems that they cannot be reassigned.
